Nowadays, VPN is a major player in our digital life. And many people use VPNs for different purposes. But, the real question is: do they know what VPN is? And can we trust our VPN? what’s different between VPN and proxy? And some questions which are related to VPN. In this series of articles, we are going to explain some tough questions about VPN, or in general, individuals tell VPN.
First of all, We have to know what censorship is and block access or deny access for some IPs.
1- VPNs VS proxy :
some countries around the world provide censorship and block some accesses in their network. What does it mean? In general, based on their policies, some traffics to specific destinations are blocked, and nobody can use the service, which can be a social network or website, or application. In this case, there are various ways to bypass firewalls. one of the simple ways is proxy. A proxy can help to remove the restrictions, nothing more. Another good case for the proxy is to bypass some website restrictions for accessing, such as geo-restrictions. Proxies are easy to implement and use.
On the other hand, VPN is a tool for being anonymous on the internet. But, not all VPNs. There are some points and conditions which must be met.
2 – Is my VPN is secured :
Actually, this question is callous to answer because many factors are available to decide a VPN is secured or not. Below factors are essential for secure and good VPNs.
1 – No logs in their servers.
2 – Real and safe IP ( clean IP )
3 – No DNS leak
4 – Geo Bypass
5 – Real timezone same as VPN
6 – support encryptions
7 – support new technologies
8 – Support customer
9 – Price
In the following article, the above points will be discussed and explained in detail.
